I am a Dramatherapist, which is a creative form of psychotherapy that uses imagination, story and embodied expression to support growth and healing.
I am a full member of BADth — the British Association of Dramatherapists — and I am registered with and bound by the code of ethics of the HCPC — the Health and Care Professions Council. I am particularly interested in the expression and use of art and in the act of creating, and I trained through the lens of Jungian psychology, so I hold a special curiosity for the unconscious, archetypes and the shadow aspects of ourselves.
There are no ‘drama skills’ required or expected in sessions; I offer a warm, non‑judgemental space where curiosity about how you feel can be explored through image and metaphor, a story or symbolic objects. We can often just talk, too.
With movement, I trust the body to hold what words sometimes cannot, so we might walk, attend to breath work, practise gentle guided movement or do short meditations if that feels supportive.
My focus is always on your relationship with yourself and others and on the stories you carry. I’m interested in all areas of your life that feel meaningful to you. After thousands of hours working with people from many different backgrounds, I deeply appreciate the uniqueness of each person and their narrative. All of you, and every aspect of your life, is welcome in our work together.
